GLASSBLOWING ASSOCIATE
We are looking for a dedicated artist that values self development, positive team working environments, and delivers amazing customer experiences.
Co-Create Magic: You will be a central figure in creating safe, memorable, and fun five-star memories for our visitors through engaging co-creation experiences (e.g., ornaments, tumblers, paperweights). This is more than a job—it's sharing the joy of hot glass!

THE ROLE
Customer Experience
Lead "Make Your Own" Experiences: Serve as the Gaffer for public glassblowing classes. Providing clear, safe, and engaging instruction to ensure a memorable customer experience. Understanding the fundamentals of making basic forms (bubbles, ornaments, pint glass, pumpkins, vases, solid forms like paperweights, and eggs) is essential.
Guest Services: Act as a genuine representative of the studio’s values & standards, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of all customers during experiences.
Professional Development: Receive and integrate constructive guidance from senior staff and peers, consistently seeking to improve teaching and technical methods.
Hot Shop Production & Technical Work
Gallery Production: Work closely with the team and Lead Gaffer to execute the production of small to medium gallery items (e.g., small waves, pitchers, and decanters).
Furnace Maintenance: Actively assist the Lead Gaffer in critical annual and ongoing technical processes, including the furnace rebuild.
Finishing Work: Execute professional basic cold working skills to finish, prep, and refine completed glass pieces.
Skill Growth: Proactively pursue and document the continuous building of your personal glassblowing skill set.
Daily Maintenance: Perform essential opening and closing procedures, including charging the furnace, cleaning the facilities, managing studio organization, and general upkeep.
Team Collaboration: Maintain effective communication and support studio-wide goals. Working collaboratively with the entire crew to meet both production and operational needs. Having clear communication is an important quality to achieve tasks safely.
