In this one day workshop, instructors will guide students through the fundamentals of glassblowing. We'll focus on safety and the proper use of tools. Following the concise demonstrations, instructors will set up each piece, so students can focus on pipe and tool skills. At the end of the workshop, students will have a variety of glasses of their own making. The tuition per student is $270 and includes bench time for each student.
In Hot Sand's most involved workshop, students will dive into the fundamentals of glassblowing. We’ll focus on safety and the proper use of tools. It’s very hands-on, with lots of practice time following our concise demonstrations. The big difference from the other workshops is that here students learn to gather from the furnace and set the glass up on the pipe themselves. By the end of the workshop, students will have a variety of simple bubbles and glasses of their own making. The tuition is $485 per student and includes several hours of bench time each.
