DRIVING

The Asbury Park Boardwalk is located in Central New Jersey, 60 minutes south of New York City and convenient to mass transportation on the North Jersey Coast Line.

FROM THE NORTH (NJ TURNPIKE to PARKWAY):
New Jersey Turnpike south to Exit 11, then south on the Garden State Parkway exit 102 Asbury Park. Bear right off the exit ramp onto Asbury Ave. and continue heading east all the way to the ocean, following the signs to Asbury Park. You will come to the Asbury Park Circle (see notes below), bear left then right onto Asbury Avenue. Keep the Coca-Cola Bottling company on your right and you're heading in the right direction.

OR

FROM THE NORTH #1 (NJ TURNPIKE to RT 18): If the NJ Turnpike South Exit 11 (Parkway) is backed up - continue on the New Jersey Turnpike South to exit 9 (about 5 minutes) ROUTE 18 - SHORE RESORTS. Take Route 18 South to Route 66 East - Asbury Park. (about 30 miles)

OR

FROM THE NORTH option #2 (GARDEN STATE PARKWAY): Garden State Parkway exit 105 - Eatontown - Rt.36. Head East on Rt. 36 until you reach Ocean Ave. in Long Branch. Make a left on Ocean Ave - head south to Asbury Park - you go through Long Branch, Deal, Allenhurst ,Loch Arbor - nice drive - about 6 miles to AP.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Garden State Parkway north to Exit 100A. Bear east on Route 66 and continue heading east into Asbury Park.

FROM THE WEST:
Take Route 33 east to Route 66, heading east. See FROM THE NORTH
or
Continue on Rt 33 east into Neptune to you get to Main Street - Ocean Grove/Bradley Beach. Make a left to Asbury Park.

FROM THE TURNPIKE SOUTH:
Turnpike Exit 7a - Shore Points. This is Rt. 195. Take that east until Route 18. Take Route 18 North to the Asbury Park exit (Route 66 east). (about 3 miles). Head east on Route 66, partly around the Asbury Park Circle bearing right onto Asbury Ave.
or
Continue on 195 East which becomes Rt. 38. This is Belmar. Go left - north to Asbury Park.

TRAIN

North Jersey Coast line - south. About 1 hour and 15 minutes. Express (almost) to Long Branch (1 hour) and then either stay on the train or switch at Long Branch to continue on to the Asbury Park Train Station.

From New York - Path Train to Newark Penn Station or Grand Central North Jersey Coast Line.
